Key Points
- iConnections facilitates $10–20 billion in annual capital flows across private equity, venture, and real estate by running 30,000 institutional investor meetings yearly since its 2020 launch.
- The platform charges GPs for software and event access while offering LPs free attendance, betting that face-to-face meetings remain essential for closing checks above $10 million.

Ron Biscardi built iConnections into what he describes as the world's largest capital introduction platform, connecting institutional investors with fund managers across private equity, venture, private credit, and real estate. The platform runs roughly 30,000 one-on-one meetings annually and facilitates $10–20 billion in capital flows each year.
Business model: GPs pay for a bundled package of software and event access. Institutional LPs attend for free. Biscardi frames the software as the core differentiator — it handles matching and scheduling — but the face-to-face meeting remains non-negotiable in alternatives. Nobody cuts a $10M or $100M check without sitting across from someone.
Origin story: iConnections launched in 2020, during COVID, through a charity event benefiting food banks globally. Biscardi approached institutional LPs first, asked them to agree to take meetings in exchange for nothing, and not one declined. That first event drew roughly 400 institutional LPs, generated 3,000 meetings, and opened with a Hong Kong fund meeting the Kansas State University Endowment — two parties Biscardi says would never have connected otherwise. COVID forced the industry to accept technology it would otherwise have resisted, and the platform held that adoption as things reopened.
“iConnections is the world's largest capital introduction platform... over the course of a year, we'll run about 30,000 one-on-one meetings between all of them, and they'll move about $10 to $20,000,000,000 in a given year through that whole ecosystem... Tomorrow X is our attempt to really bring that world class banking experience to the masses.”
Tomorrow X
Tomorrow X is a separate conference concept, co-created by Biscardi, Gavin Baker (Atreides Management) and Antonio Gracias (Valor Equity Partners). Baker's driving idea was to democratize access to a Wall Street-caliber conference for retail investors, independent analysts, Substack writers, and the broader X/fintech community who would never receive an invitation to a Morgan Stanley or Goldman event.
The positioning is deliberately mass-market. Rather than starting with a hotel ballroom and scaling up, iConnections rented a stadium and priced tickets to be broadly accessible. The speaker list for the Austin event includes Jensen Huang, Michael Dell, John Gray, David Solomon, and the CEOs of Databricks and Vercel, among others.
iConnections announced The Verge of Profitability Network (TVPN) as its tech podcast media partner for the event, scheduled for November.
