Commercial space propulsion company building orbital transfer vehicles to move payloads from low Earth orbit to high-energy orbits, the Moon, and Mars. Products include the Mira maneuverable vehicle for Space Force and the Helios upper stage. Founded in 2021 by Tom Mueller, a founding propulsion engineer at SpaceX.
Funding History
Impulse Space raised a $500M Series D led by 137 Ventures. The company is expanding manufacturing into a new 240,000 sq ft facility in El Segundo and hiring aggressively with 200 open roles.
Impulse Space added a $308M extension to its Series D round, bringing the total Series D to $808M ($500M initial close plus $308M extension). Funds will support continued hiring and facility expansion for higher production rates of its Mira and Helios spacecraft products.
